Strategists cannot request closure of a Member’s account.

To close an account, the Member must request it through the Member mobile app. They will visit their Profile and under "Account" they will select "Close Account". It is important to communicate to your clients to move the money out of their Currence Reservoir before initiating the account closure process.

In the event that Currence closes the account, Currence will provide the client with a 30-day notice to move funds out of their accounts and close their account, where appropriate.

If they do not take action on their own accounts by the notice, we will close the accounts and issue a check for the remaining balance (for accounts with a balance greater than $1).

For checks:

  • The final balance check is processed and mailed out 2-3 weeks after the account closure.

  • The check will be sent to the address associated with the Currence account unless the client requests otherwise. In order for the check to be mailed to a different address, we will need an address verification document. The following is a list of acceptable documents:

    • Utility Bill

    • Bank Statement

    • Lease Agreement

    • Pay Stub

    • Insurance Bill/Statement

    • Driver’s License (unexpired)
